Summer is here and you haven’t gotten your body into shape to rock those swim shorts? TestX Core presents five exercises to help you get a flat stomach faster.
1. Windshield Wiper Exercise
Lie flat on your back with your hands facing down behind pelvic area. Lift your legs straight up. Lift your glutes up and twist it to the left. Lower your glutes and do the same this time turning to the right.
2. The Pike Exercise
Lie flat on the ground and place your arms beside you with palms facing the ground. At the same time, lift your upper body and legs at 45 degrees from the ground. Raise your arms as far as you can while maintaining a straight back.
3. Crunches with Weights
These are your regular crunches but with a slight twist that could spell a lot of difference. Lie down with back straight and knees bent at 45 degrees and feet on the floor. Hold a weight plate that you are comfortable with in front of you and lift your shoulders and head into a crunch.
4. Overhead Crunches
Start in the crunches position but this time with hands right by your ears. Slowly raise your head, shoulders and torso from the floor. Keep it for a second then go slowly back down.
5. Planks with Ball
Start in a push-up position but with your feet on an exercise ball. Gently lift your body by pushing off with your arms until it reaches the same height as that of your feet or at least close to it. Remember to keep your back straight. Hold this position for at least one minute then go back to the original position.
Getting washboard abs is not an easy thing to do. Aside from doing the exercises above, there some other elements that you must also put in. Diet is one.
